Institute for Clean Energy Technology (ICET)

ICET_bThe Institute for Clean Energy Technology (ICET), formerly the Diagnostic Instrumentation and Analysis Laboratory (DIAL), at Mississippi State University was formed in 1976 and has concentrated on energy research in the areas of advanced sensor development and modeling in support of power plant efficiency and safety, energy efficiency for commercial processes, and the environmental aspects of energy production. Current energy research is focused on remediation of waste from nuclear weapons production and carbon capture and sequestration. ICET has diversified into other areas including defense and homeland security applications of the modeling, measurement, and testing expertise that exists in the organization. The institute also has capabilities in large-scale engineering testing with current projects in HEPA filter testing.
